Oct 25, 2008 - I can still hear a definate skilldifference between him and Erskine, who is just a factor "better"or more at ease with the music...Omar is just getting there, where Peter is more dominant..still absolute topclass music here..from all involved.
montinellini Says:
Oct 28, 2008 - pay more attention, he's Peter Erskine.

Nov 19, 2008 - It was around '78 and one day a friend came by and says, "hey you gotta come with to see this band Weather Report! They're awesome and I got tickets." Can you imagine knowing nothing about em and walking in, sitting down and seeing these guys. Whoa! My mouth must have been hanging open the whole time. Bless YouTube for this but ... and Ya'll know this but live is just so whoa! Support live music where ever you live. Peace

Nov 26, 2008 - You gotta love Jaco. By the end of the song you can actually see the baby powder on the floor so he could slide on stage. RIP

Dec 6, 2008 - I'm gonna catch hell for this, but as freaking impressive as he is (and as a bassist I've copped a ton of stuff from him and loved him), Jaco is the least impressive guy on this clip! Sorry!
dentistsugardusty Says:
Dec 6, 2008 - u've gotta be kiddin' remember he was the only cat hangin in the undertow like this at the time. Rocco was similiar, but jaco stretched way the hell out..and then along comes Berlin..years later though
okonkolo Says:
Dec 6, 2008 - I don't disagree with anything you say! I've been playing along with this clip and love the bass playing, but Zawinul is a freak that can make a major 6/9 chord sound exotic, and the duet on this is molten. Props to all, I love this band and always will.

Dec 22, 2008 - Incredible clip. One of my faves by WR. Saw them, unfortunately, the first tour immediately following Jaco leaving, then saw Jaco at The Bayou, 8 feet in front of my face....WOW. 5 years later saw Wayne Shorter at Blues Alley, sat at the front cocktail table, mayyybe 3 feet from him....WOW. All GREAT musicians. Would have loved to see Jaco w/ WR. Anyone today playing WR type Jazz Fusion ??
